Daniel is an Assurance partner at BPM and leader of the firm's industry groups program. He is also BPM’s Nonprofit group leader and FinTech leader. He has worked extensively with fair value and alternative investments, CDFIs, the Uniform Guidance and Single Audits, significant endowments and UPMIFA, tax-exempt debt, planned giving, partnership accounting, program-related investments, New Markets Tax Credits, gifts-in-kind, cryptocurrency, and significant capital campaigns. Daniel's nonprofit clients including private foundations, social enterprises, trade associations, arts and culture, advocacy and political organizations, private schools, community foundations, higher education, religious organizations, and environmental organizations. Daniel's FinTech and financial services experience includes cryptocurrency companies (e.g. exchanges, wallets, and hedge funds), marketplace and online lenders, broker-dealers, investment banks, registered investment advisors, venture capital funds, private equity funds, mortgage pools and hedge funds. Daniel presents at various conferences, including CalCPA, Northern California Planned Giving Council's Planned Giving Conference, the Conference on Charitable Giving, Foundation Financial Officers Group Conference, and CFO/Arts. He is co-chair of the CalCPA Not-for-Profit Conference and serves on many boards, including the Accounting Blockchain Coalition and Online Lending Policy Institute.
