With auditees required to implement the Uniform Guidance Procurement standards this past year, it is now the auditor’s turn to begin considering the Uniform Guidance Procurement Standards in the Single Audit and how to approach testing. This session will provide practical audit guidance on testing approaches for procurement, including sampling methodology, testing of written procurement procedures, and various examples.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key Uniform Guidance Procurement standards which are the focus of the Single Audit
  • Analyze approaches to determining when Procurement is direct and material to the major program and, if so, testing approaches
  • Distinguish how changes in the Uniform Guidance Procurement standards could impact our approach to sampling
  • Analyze real life examples of testing the Uniform Guidance Procurement standards
